K3 and the Song of the Mermaid
Synopsis
Hanne, Marthe, and Julia are having the vacation of a lifetime in the coastal village of Porto Sirento—enjoying the sun, sea, beach, and each other’s company while dancing and singing. Their perfect holiday is abruptly turned upside down when a mysterious spell transforms them into beautiful mermaids. To avoid standing out, they must steer clear of water, which is easier said than done in a seaside town. Danger is ever-present, as the locals inexplicably view mermaids as monsters. Upon discovering that they have only three days before the transformation becomes permanent—meaning they’d be mermaids forever and no longer K3—they embark on a race against time to break the spell.

Did you Know
Filming on Gozo took place during the 2024 turtle nesting season. If either of the nests had hatched during the night shoots, the production would have been halted. Fortunately, the hatchlings waited until the next day to make their way to the sea, allowing filming to proceed uninterrupted.
