Synopsis

Private detective Hartwig Seeler takes on an unusual assignment from his former colleague, Tascha. She is wary about the upcoming release of Gerald Metzner, a felon who once held her hostage. Planning to hide on the island of Gozo, Tascha’s feelings for Seeler complicate matters. When she suddenly disappears and Metzner is found dead, Seeler begins to suspect he is being misled. Determined to uncover the truth, he travels to Gozo, haunted by the possibility that his instincts may be wrong.
