The idea for ‘The Man who was Cinema‘ came to the its writer and director when he was just 19 years old, with the notion of bringing it to life emerging in 2010. Filmed across locations in Portugal (Bairro Alto, Ericeira, and São Miguel Island) and Malta’s Gozo Island, filmmaker Vasco Abranches took on every aspect, from writing and music composition to filming and editing. The original soundtrack and the text are deeply intertwined, creating a “twin soul” experience in the form of a short movie.
