Synopsis

Last year, four sisters-in-law and their families gathered at their Maltese holiday apartments, as they had every summer for fifteen years. Sylvie was happily married, Natasha was living in luxury, and Beth and Annabelle were inseparable. This summer, everything has changed. Sylvie is newly single and thriving, Natasha is secretly facing financial ruin, Beth is barely holding it together, and Annabelle... is dead.

When Annabelle's widower, Charlie, shows up with a new woman who looks eerily like Annabelle, Beth’s unease grows. As Charlie’s strange behaviour increases, Beth can’t shake the feeling that Annabelle’s death wasn’t an accident. With secrets unraveling and tensions rising, the sisters-in-law band together—sometimes against each other—to uncover the truth. But with dangerous ties to corrupt officials, drug cartels, and career criminals, they might be in over their heads.
