Why Visit Gozo in April?
April on Gozo means that the short winter is behind us, Spring is definitely here and it’s not going to be that long until Festa season starts, which means summer is not far away!
Temperatures are creeping up and we’ll get around eight hours a day of sunlight. During April, you can expect highs of up to 24°C, with an average of 17°C, and rain is less likely than in previous months, although not completely unusual. It’s perfect weather for hiking, and there will be days with enough sunshine to enjoy eating outside or time on the beach.
Easter is marked on the first weekend of April this year, which means the first few days of the month fall in Holy Week. Did you know Gozo has the highest concentration of opera houses per square mile? With two historic opera houses located only a few hundred metres apart, it’s not surprising that Gozo takes opera very seriously.
