Why Visit Gozo in May

Gozo in May means that summer is very nearly here! While the weather might remain a little unpredictable, the temperature definitely starts creeping up and you just know it won’t be long until the long summer of endless blue skies and sunshine is back for another year.

May on Gozo also means the start of Festa Season! Bringing the sounds, sights and fun that are an intrinsic part of summer in Gozo as almost every weekend between the end of May and September will see a different village celebrating their patron saint. If you’re visiting Gozo during the summer months, then you should really try to experience at least one night at a Gozo Festa. It’s something you’ll never forget.

And because it’s Gozo, there’s always plenty of other things going on, from exhibitions, fairs and concerts. Check out our top picks of what’s on in Gozo in May below! Also, every Monday, we publish a round-up of the best events happening that week on our social channels, so go give us a follow, we’re @SceneOnGozo everywhere!
