By Car: Nadur is just a 10-minute drive from the Gozo Ferry Terminal at Mgarr.

By Bus: Take route 303 from Mgarr, the bus stop is just outside the main Gozo Ferry Terminal. If you are travelling from Victoria, you can take route 302 from several locations Victoria.

By Taxi or Bike: Taxis are easy to book via Uber, eCabs or Bolt or you can pick up a White Taxi at the ferry terminal.

Once in Nadur, you can easily walk around the village or rent a car to visit other parts of Gozo.

  • Use public buses for nearby destinations like Victoria or Mgarr Harbour.

  • Rent a car or bike for more flexibility; parking is available near beaches but can be limited during summer.

Lunch

  • Maxokk Bakery: an absolute must if you’re a foodie. Dating back to the 1930s and currently run by the third generation of the family, it’s famous for its ftira (a traditional Gozitan pizza-like flatbread). We recommend trying their potato or anchovy-topped versions. It’s well worth the wait!

Dinner

  • The Fat Rabbit: Rabbit is another must-try dish when you’re on Gozo and this is one of the most popular places to try it. Booking is a must, as is turning up with an appetite as this local favourite serves hearty dishes like rabbit stew and fresh seafood. Mains range from €15–€25.
  • Fliegu Restaurant: Enjoy Sicilian-inspired cuisine with stunning views of Comino and Malta.

  • San Blas Bay: A secluded beach with red sand; be aware though, it is at the bottom of a very steep path down (and back up!). In the summer, it is sometimes a jeep offering a cheap ride back up.
  • Daħlet Qorrot Bay: Possibly the cutest cove on Gozo, it’s great for snorkelling in crystal-clear waters. During the summer the kiosk, the Loose Caboose, is open.
  • Ramla Bay: Gozo’s largest sandy beach, ideal for swimming and sunbathing. During the summer it gets pretty crowded, so we recommend getting there early in the morning or later in the afternoon
