Kerry Gaffney: Travel Writer and Author
I’m a travel writer and author based on Gozo, Malta. I write about film tourism and set-jetting, the Maltese islands, and the food, people and traditions that make island life what it is.
I’ve lived in the Maltese islands since 2019 and on Gozo since 2021. As founder of Scene on Gozo, I’ve documented more than 100 film and TV productions shot across Malta and Gozo, so when a story needs to know where a scene was filmed, or what’s worth a reader’s time once they get there, I can usually tell you.
I shoot my own photography and can supply images with every piece.

What I Write About
Film tourism and set-jetting. Where films and TV series were made and how readers can visit, with particular depth on The Madame Blanc Mysteries, which has filmed on Gozo since 2020.
Malta and Gozo travel. Itineraries, villages, feasts, ferries and the practical detail visitors need, from someone who lives here all year.
Food, artisans and island life. Pastizzi, ftira and Gozitan wine, the people who make them, and what living on a small Mediterranean island is like once the day-trippers have gone home.
