The Madame Blanc Regulars

Sally Lindsay as Jean White Co-creator, writer and the heart of the show. Jean is a self-described poor traveller whose expertise in antiques repeatedly draws her into Sainte Victoire’s endless supply of murders, forgeries and mysteries. Sally Lindsay conceived the series and has written across all series and Christmas Specials.

Steve Edge as Dom Hayes Jean’s taxi driver, sidekick and eventual love interest. Originally from the UK, Dom has built a quiet life in Sainte Victoire before Jean’s arrival upends it considerably.

Sue Holderness as Judith Lloyd James Lady of the manor, owner of the Chateau, and arguably the series’ most quotable character. Sue Holderness is best known to British audiences as Marlene in Only Fools and Horses.

Robin Askwith as Jeremy Lloyd James Judith’s exasperating, lovable husband. Robin Askwith became a household name in the 1970s Confessions film series. He lives on Gozo, making him the only member of the main cast who is also a genuine local. His hair is real.

Alex Gaumond as Major André Caron The Chief of Police, whose relationship with Jean moves from suspicious to collaborative over the course of the series.

Sue Vincent as Gloria Beauchamp Co-creator, writer and the show’s mechanic-in-residence. Glorious Gloria’s Garage is one of the most beloved locations in the series.

Sir Tony Robinson as Uncle Patrick Dom’s uncle with a slightly shady past, first appearing in the 2022 Christmas Special and becoming a series regular from Series 3 onwards. Tony Robinson is best known as Baldrick in Blackadder.

Paul Chuckle as Trevor Beauchamp Gloria’s father, appearing in all series. Paul Chuckle, real name Paul Elliott, was one half of the legendary Chuckle Brothers.

Jacqueline Berces as Gendarme Richard Caron’s reliable subordinate, a consistent presence across all series.

Sanchia McCormack as Charlie Brodeur Jean’s business partner and co-owner of Brodeur & White Antiques.

Djina Kane as Simone Brodeur Charlie’s wife, a recurring presence from Series 1.

Madame Blanc Guest Stars by Series

Series 1 (2021) Paul O’Grady appeared as David in the debut series, filming all his scenes on Gozo, even though he only appeared at on a video call in the series. Niall Connor (Aonghus Weber) and Celine Connor (Margeaux Lampley) appeared as the bar owners in Series 1 and 2, seemingly set up as regulars before their characters quietly departed when the bar changed hands. Similarly, Barbara Kingsley (Olivia Caffrey) was a significant presence in Series 1 and 2 before disappearing from the story resurfacing in the 2025 Christmas special.

Series 2 (2022–23) saw a host of guest stars, with Les Dennis joining as David, though it was not clear if he was the same David as Paul O’Grady or a different antique dealer with the same name. Les reappeared in Series 4’s ‘Antique Antics’.

Avant Strangel appeared as Cooper, Gloria’s taxi-driving boyfriend, in a recurring capacity.

Series 3 (2023–25) Stephen Bailey made his first appearance as the delightfully psychotic baddie, John Marsden. Other guest stars included Lisa Faulkner as fashion designer Violet Oliver, Julie Graham as Delphine Banoire, Lisa Maxwell as Nancy Ludovic, and Karen Bryson as Lucia.

Series 4 (2024–25) Stephen Bailey returned as John Marsden, and Les Dennis reprised his role as David. Further guest stars included Richard Blackwood as TV presenter Nick, Danny Hatchard as Jovan Smith, Samantha Power as Marilyn Feo, Charlie Condou as Pierre, Graeme Hawley as Nigel, Lorraine Burroughs as Elaine, and Edward MacLiam as Paul.

Christmas Special 2025 Kacey Ainsworth appeared as Aurielle Alfonse alongside John Thomson as George Alfonse.

The Madame Blanc Mysteries Series 5: What We Know About the Cast

The regulars are back. As for guest stars, Sainte Victoire has once again attracted some familiar faces from British television and entertainment. We can say that at least one well-known comedian is making their debut in the village, a much-loved villain makes a return appearance. There’s also a couple of faces that have starred in some beloved British Sit Coms. Finally, there might be a sporting connection that fans of a very English game might appreciate. Beyond that, you’ll have to wait and see.
