Why Visit Gozo in March?

March is when spring arrives in Gozo. Following the traditionally coldest and wettest months of January and February, March brings increasingly longer days and average temperatures of 16–18°C (60.8–64.4°F). The island is at its greenest and with around seven hours of sunshine per day, it’s the perfect time of year to get outside and explore the countryside, along with Gozo’s historic sites.

When it comes to events on Gozo in March, there’s the usual eclectic mix of exhibitions and musical performances. Plus this month sees Gozo preparing for Easter, which in 2026 falls on 5 April.
