Xlendi Bay is well-known for its high cliffs and incredible sea views. This tiny bay and harbour has some of the best restaurants and bars on the Island.

Xagħra is one of my favourite spots, not just for its beauty but also for its rich history and cinematic moments. The distinctive red sandy beach of Ramla is part of Xagħra, and several films have been shot here, including ones starring Michael Caine and Joan Collins.

Sannat is known for its charming village square, which has featured prominently in multiple productions. It was also the original location for the village of Sainte Victoire for The Madame Blanc Mysteries. Production had to move when the village square was dug up for renovations between series one and two.

Victoria

Victoria, the capital of Gozo also known locally as Rabat, has appeared in countless productions. The Citadel especially has become a popular filming location.

San Lawrenz is where you'll find Dwejra Bay—one of the island’s most famous, and popular, filming locations. Sadly, the Azure Window is no more, but it lives on in many famous scenes.

The historic streets of Kerċem are the perfect setting for period dramas. However, for the 80s classic Brideshead Revisited, Kerċem portrayed Central America.

Marsalforn is a favourite among visitors, and it’s easy to see why. Its harbour and vibrant waterfront have been featured in several productions. Marsalforn Valley is also the site of the pivotal crash in the very first episode of The Madame Blanc Mysteries, the event that brings Jean White to Sainte Victoire and sets the stage for the four seasons (and counting) of the series.

Santa Marija Tower

Santa Marija Tower is another well-known filming location and features prominently in both film and TV adaptions of Dumas' classic, The Count of Monte Cristo as the isolated Château d'If. The tower itself is dramatic, and the views are simply breathtaking.

Blue Lagoon

The Blue Lagoon is Comino’s most famous spot, and for good reason. Its crystal-clear waters have made it an ideal setting for films and TV shows, including Swept Away and The Count of Monte Cristo. It's true to say that this stunning location has captivates both directors and visitors alike.

Top Tip: Visit early in the morning or later in the afternoon to avoid the crowds.
